As an independent agent, we partner with several highly-ranked companies to provide a large range of options for our clients. Each of our companies have a unique background. We've put together some history about each company, listed in alphabetical order, to allow you to familiarize yourself with them a little more. 

Founded in 1916 in Lansing, Michigan, Auto-Owners Insurance Group has been providing insurance to individuals in 26 states. Rated A++ (Superior) by A.M. Best (a nationally recognized independent insurance rating authority) and a Fortune 500 company, Auto-Owners Insurance provides solutions for your home, auto, life and business needs. 

Originally formed in 1935, Grange Insurance has been providing affordable insurance for many years. When they first began, Grange only offered automobile insurance for a select group of individuals, who were recognized at the time as grange members (known nationally as the National Grange Patrons of the Husbandry). Since their inception, Grange now offers a wide variedy of solutions to fit your home, auto, life and business insurance needs. 

On March 10, 1937, Progressive Mutual Insurance Company was formed by Joseph Lewis and Jack Green. They were the first insurance company in America to offer premium installments to broaden the options for customers who didn't want to pay their annual premiums in full. In 1951, Progressive drastically expended, prompting the opening of their corporate office in Cleveland, Ohio. Since then, Progressive has been offering a wide selection of insurance options for its policyholders, and continues to look for new ways to better improve the insurance industry.  

Started in 1910 by a group of farmers in Wayne County, Ohio,  Wayne Mutual was founded under the idea of insuring farms for the basic losses - fire, lightning and storms. Since that time, Wayne Mutual has expanded its coverage options to meet the needs of the 21st century. Now offering a variety of competitive coverage options, Wayne Mutual provides home, auto, and business solutions to fit your everyday insurance needs. 

Western Reserve Group hasn't alway been the name it operates under today. Beginning in 1859, a company called "Sonnenburg Mutual Insurance Company" opened its doors and began writing insurance policies for Ohioans. Then in 1906, another company, "Lightning Rod Mutual Insurance Company," started doing the same. Finally in 1937, "Western Reserve Mutual Casulty Company" opened its doors and also began writing business in Ohio. Eventually, these three companies joined forces and domiciled in Ohio and Indiana, and today operate under the Western Reserve Group.
